Dr. Rob Harner has been practicing veterinary medicine in Orange County for 21 years, and is excited to launch Ranch Heights Veterinary alongside his longtime professional colleague and friend, Dr. Chad Maki.
Dr. Harner is a Southern California local, a proud “family man”, and a trusted veterinarian in the community. He attended the University of California, Irvine, for his undergraduate degree, and graduated from the University of California, Davis, in 2003 with his veterinary doctorate degree. Prior to co-founding Ranch Heights Veterinary, he previously owned a large, multi-doctor animal hospital in Irvine, California, and also owned a concierge mobile practice serving coastal Orange County pets.
When it comes to you and your family, Dr. Harner strives to deliver the very best veterinary care possible. His many years of experience, blended with compassion, education, and effective communication, form the cornerstone of his patient care philosophy.
Dr. Harner’s special veterinary interests include preventive medicine, wellness, dermatology, internal medicine, ear infection treatment, ophthalmology, and end-of-life care. He believes having a strong focus on preventive wellness medicine, as well as encouraging a life of healthy eating and exercise, will ultimately translate into a long and happy life for his patients.
He loves spending his free time outdoors and enjoys all that the beautiful Southern California coastline has to offer. He is the proud father, and #1 fan, to an amazing daughter, and his family is strongly supported by his loving wife. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Harner can be found surfing, playing tennis, golfing, watching soccer (Go Chelsea FC!), or cheering on his daughter at her dance competitions.
